Last week, I wrote about free museum passes. Let’s keep the culture going, again for FREE! This Sunday, September 22nd, Benaroya Hall will be hosting its annual Free Day of Music from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event includes a wide variety of musical performances on multiple stages including classical, folk, hip-hop, rock, a capella, jazz, ethnic favorites and much more! Many of the performances are specifically geared towards kids. And if all that groovin’ and jammin’ makes you and your family hungry, food trucks will be onsite!
Beyond Benaroya’s Free Day of Music, the Seattle Symphony offers a wonderful variety of musical programming specifically for families with toddlers through teens. Check out musical programs based on Mother Goose, Dr. Seuss, Lemony Snicket and more, as well as concerts from Caspar Babypants, Recess Monkeys and other kid’s favorites! Details on the 2013-2014 season are here. Finally, here’s a bargain lover’s inside scoop – always look for discount tickets for any Seattle-area event, kid- or parent-centric, on Goldstar. It’s an amazing resource for big discounts on Seattle-area theater events, festivals, day cruises and more. Now go get yourselves and your little ones some culture and have fun!
